First, a very happy blog birthday to Maria Rose. She started commenting on my blog a few weeks back and I have thoroughly enjoyed reading her posts ever since. Pop on over and wish her a very happy blog birthday (and perhaps also a Happy Halloween!).
Now the Nate update. Sophie, all preaching is appreciated. I am not a very patient person and am already feeling a little frazzled and it hasn't even been 12 hours. The result was is that his miniscus was torn from the bone, and they 'wrapped' it to re-attach. He 'walked' out of the hospital about half hour after surgery and was feeling quite pleasant and optimistic until about 11 pm last night when the freezing wore off and he started on painkillers. Nate is one of those guys (perhaps like typical men) that shrug off pain and don't make much of it. He is in quite a bit of pain - which therefore tells me alot. The drugs are also making him feel like he is half drunk, and no, he isn't overdosing. They told us his recovery would be about 10 weeks. Sitting down here to blog has been my first few minutes all to me since 7 am this morning. I feel like I am going at warp speed. But, both 'kids' are fed, snug in blankets, and perhaps both soon will be taking a nap. Thank you all for your notes yesterday about Nate's surgery. We appreciate them greatly.
Ok, now let's let the fun begin! Happy Halloween! I love Halloween (I trick or treated until I was 17 - eek!) and am enjoying it even more now with Grace. Here so far are some pics of our morning:
I made Grace some french toast this morning and used my Halloween cookie cutters to cut them into shapes of a ghost and a cat for her. She said 'boo' at the ghost. Quite fun.
And some general silliness with our dog Clifford.
This afternoon we hope to pop out to a play place to visit with a friend of ours, then off to 'Trick or Treat' at some friends homes tonight.
But, it's Halloween, and therefore I thought my blog needed to be Trick or Treated at as well. So, drop me a message with a 'knock' and a 'Trick or Treat' and I will enter your name to win your very own cookie cutter from me! I have to decide if it will be Halloween or Christmas themed. Maybe I will let you pick. I will announce the winner tomorrow! And yep, willing to ship anywhere :) Trick or Treating closes at 8 pm!
*Hope on over to Brandi's blog and check out the pics she took of Grace and I this past Wednesday!
